hello

What is the best trim for Lubricated taper plug valve?

the purchaser mentioned:
Material: Body, Plug, Stem Bonnet, Cover shall be made of cast carbon steel acc. to ASTM A216 Grade WCB comparable to BS 1504 Class 150 and 600.

and told us 13% Cr is not suitable for chloride corrosion? please help me.

A more detailed description of your problem would lead to a more detailed advice!

Cast iron carbon steel is in general not a good choice for chloride fluids. High quality stainless or exotic materials would be better, but this again is of course a maintenance/cost problem.

Choice here both for valve, trim and sealing also depends on exact chemical composition and temperature of the fluid.

Teflon (PTFE) or FKM or PFA could be suitable elastomers, AISI 316 Ti (German 1.4571 and 1.4581) possible materials.
