I wouold like to know how suction test is performed on swelling clays. Please also suggest website, publication or books realted to the subject. I want to know at least the basics as soon as possible.

Try the nice and easy filter paper method. You will find the procedure in most soil testing books. For your results try the formula developed from a current study of Chandler's and Guitierrez's:
Log10 Pk = 4.84 - 0.0622 wp (for filter paper moisture content < 47%)
Log10 Pk = 6.05 - 2.481 Log10 wp (for filter moisture content > 47% )
where Pk is the soil suction and
wp is the moisture content of the filter paper
