I have two solid bodies and am trying to subtract one from the other. The error message it is giving me is one I have never had before and wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Modeler error : objects are not all in the same partition

Many thanks in advance and I'm using NX4

Must be a new NX4 error because I'm still on 3 and I'm sure I've seen every error they have!...lol

Technically this should never happen. This is related to the way Parasolid tracks bodies and this should not occur as a result of an operation performed in NX.

Question: did either of these bodies get imported in from another system, either via IGES/STEP or through Parasolid exchange files?

Whatever, you should contact GTAC as we will need to see this part and we might even be able to "repair" it.

Sorry for 'hijacking' this thread, but a related question for John:

Why are people suddenly having so many issues performing Booleans? When NX3 was first launched, I do not recall there being issues like this. Any ideas?

TIA

I'm not sure, but that's why we need to see the actual parts.
