substation grounding

Could anybody help us in the following questions:
1. Is the shield of electric cable grounding in more than one point(both endings), Why?
2. Is it recomended the use of nude copper wire installed on both side of electric cable track to shield the eletric cable from eletromagnetic interference?
3. What are the problems of use the same grounding cable to earth multiple equipments?

1. Has been discussed many times, do a keyword search on "shield grounding" in all forums.

2. What is electric cable track? Do you mean cable tray? Are these communications cables? Are the cables already shielded? Bare copper wire running on either side of the cable won't function as a shield - the conductor needs to be fully enclosed by the shielding material for maximum effectiveness.

3. Be more specific - bonding for both safety and lightning? Bonding for both safety and noise suppression? Bonding for both 60 Hz and high frequency?
