I'm experienced Solidworks user and I have assembly model, that contain sub-assemblies.
I got problem: I can't suppress a few sub-assemblies in this model.
Any clue?

Do you get an error message? At what level are the sub-assemblies?

No error, just nothing happening

If you suppress it, then rebuild does anything change?

The sub-assembly is in flexible mode?
Is it resolved or light-weight?
The assembly is on large assembly mode?

a. Run the assembly expert tool.
b. Try to open the sub assembly and suppress the parts inside.
c. Check the external reference.

Have you tried to make a Config in the sub-assembly to have everything suppressed to see if that works? I would imagine it would, but might be worth testing as well.

I run in to suppression problem by trying to solve another problem: I couldn’t insert assy. in to assy. (with same sub-asseblies), as error message about “potential circular references” will appear. So I was trying to suppress sub-assy to make it work.
Long story short, I overcome assy. insertion problem by making one of sub-assemblies a virtual (break links).
