Sub-Assembly Mate Problem

When I insert a sub-assembly containing a concentric and a coincident mate into an assembly, the mates no longer have motion functionality. However, when I insert each sub-assembly part individually into the assembly and apply the identical mates to the parts in the assembly, they work as designed. I’m sure I am missing something obvious, but my brain has cramped, and I can’t seem to work my way out of this one. Thanks for any help.

GRRRR! If you only knew how long I scoured the help manual. As I suspected, the solution was simple. Thanks. I think trying to do assemblies with simulation driven inverse kinematics at 3 AM is probably not a good idea anymore.
