Hellow,
On the Bottom of ASME 2:1 Elliptical Head, I have to design a 12.6" ODX 8.66" ID X 0.7" thk Studded flange with 8 x7/16" dia. whole holes ( none threded hole)in order to install a Europpeen Agitator.
The tank is designed as per ASME Section VIII div.1.
I'm using Compress Programe for the design calculation, but with this programe, unfortunatly I can't calculate this flange, I try also to see on the Appendix 2, but there is no studded flange Formulas on this Appendix.
I think that I have no other choise to do a FEA ( Finite element analysis)as a calculations for the Authorised Inspector.
Could some one give me other issues for this case.
