I'm working on trying to reduce the noise transmitted into the passenger compartment of a mini-van from the solenoid valves of an anti-lock brake system. This noise is being transmitted through the brake pipes. I believe it is structure-borne noise.

and... he's not having much luck, at a rough guess.

1) Do a noise path analysis to find out which mounting point is giving you grief

2) Fix it.

Clue: mass and isolation.

A quick way to check whether it is coming through the pipes into the body would be to undo all the pipe clamps from the body and support them on bits of string.

What makes you think it is coming through the pipes? there are many possible paths.
