structures with joints during earth quack

What happens to two structures next to each other, built simultaneously and separated by a hot joint or cold joint during earth quack? Will the two structures have different natural frequencies? Assume that one structure is made of RCC and triangular in shape, the other structure is made out of Mass concrete and rectangular in shape.
