Strip footing design

I am new to using SAFE, and I was wondering, how would you typically model a strip footing or grade beam in SAFE? The strip footing runs underneath concrete shearwalls. Would you model it as a footing slab with the dimensions of a beam and with soil supports underneath? Or would you model it as a beam? If you do model it as a beam how would you provide soil support to the beam since the wall is only above the beam?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
