Hi,

I'm trying to deduce the stresses in my shell element S4R in the global x-direction.

I requested S11 and S22 in history output but there are large differences for the positive (upper surface) and
negative (bottom surface). Can anyone explain what the correct procedure is?

In postprocessing you can transform the field output in another coordinate system. Search for "transform" in the A/CAE manual.
Afterwards you can create xy-data based on that new field.
