Hi Everybody,
I am modeling a composite I- girder bridge with cast-in-place concrete deck. I need to get the stress in composite sections ,which mean the girder. I used Bridge object Response Display. It seems that the stress is only available for beams not for girders (the beam forces represent the forces in the beam only, whereas the girder forces represent the forces acting on the composite section of the beam and the deck slab).
it seems that CSI bridge calculate the stresses in individual sections beams alone , slab alone , which i think it is not right
Which mean that the software obtain the forces on each part and calculate the stresses based on the individual section properties of each
This way is completely misleading for the stresses in the whole section
Is there any way to present the stresses in the whole composite section
