Stresses in floor-to-shell weld of aboveground storage tanks?

I'm trying to learn the effects that edge settlement of a storage tank will have on the floor to shell weld - does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could look for info on that? So far, basically all I know is that edge settlement will cause a bending and shear stresses in the weld (along with others I'm sure).
