Hi,
i can't understand the stress graph in abaqus. I attached a picture of a part.

I see a maximum stress ( red rectangle ) but i try to find it in to the model and dont find it. NO POINT ARE RED!

What means this? Linearizzation kill this peak?

How many is the real stress in to the part? The part is green and blue, green is more dangerous than blue so the maximum stress is located where the plot is green and the value is the green value?

I am confused...

If you want to determine where you maximum stress is you can select to "show location" of max value (i.e. stress) under you "Contour Plot Options", then "Limits" tab.

There's an option in the contours to display the position of the maximum value. It's under the Limits tab in options/contour. If it's just at some random point in the model then it's probably a stress due to a poor mesh in that region.
