Stress linearization

Is there anyone with experience with stress linearization in a pressure vessel in sw?
 
I mean, in case of the stress linearization through the pressure vessel wall thickness... What type of graphical dependency is more reasonable for use in this case of study (Von mises or Stress intensity)?
