I am calculating the STF's for the crown & saddle of various supports to an I-tube. A pretty simple 90 degree elbow made by cutting a 45 in 2 pipes and butting them together does not seem to fit any of the calculation configuration diagrams that I have from DNV. These specify the Chord and Brace of the configuration being a coped connection of 1 pipe at an angle to another. Do these calculations work for a 45 butt weld also?
