Is it still possible to buy Solidworks 2007 instead of 2008?? I can't seem to find any info on the solidworks site.

Thanks in advance.

The SW Portal still has SW2006-SP5.1, and SW2007-SP4 and SP5 available for download. If you purchase a license you should be able to access those.

Do you have existing licenses now or will this be your first?

It's going to be our first. I was just more inclined to get 2007 since I think it is up to SP 5 and hopefully is more stable than 2008.

I am using 2008 an I love it not to many problems. the way you use it is different than 2007. I would defiantly recommend 2008 over 2007

If you are new to SW, you might as well learn it with the 2008 interface.

Both 2007 and 2008 were very stable in their initial releases. As CBL mentions, you'd be better off getting '08 as the UI is so different. It also offers more bang for your buck.

I have to agree with everyone else, go to 2008 as long as you're just starting out start with the latest. Have had no stability issues as of yet.

I am pretty comfortable witrh 06-07 I was just worried about 08 since it is fairly new.
