Stepper Motor or no Stepper Motor

Hello All,

I am designing a small project and I was thinking about using a stepper motor. I needed the motor make fixed amount of full cycle rotations (360 degrees) 6 times.
Can I program a stepper motor to make 2160 degrees or is it just 360 at max?

Steppers are not rotation- limited.

The part you program is not the motor, but the motor controller.

Usually you drive them with a microcontroller and as Mike sez it then becomes the programming that controls exactly how far you want it to turn.
