step file question

A v5 file that has text and annotations, when i convert the file to step the text doesnt get converted. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

I'm not sure it's possible to add text and annotations to a STEP file.

In genaral I would say that there are programs that handle import/export of IGES and STEP better than CATIA V5.

Text and annotations are not supported by STEP standards.

STEP is a purely geometric format. All text and non geometric entities are catia-internal.
