1)I would like to know the what are the conditions to be considered for providing Hard facing on Globe valve Disc and seat.
2)In one of our cases, Alloy 825 Seat and disc in globe valve is provided with Stellite 6 Trim. Is it necessary to provide Trim on alloy 825?
3)In What scenarios this requirements can be waived off?

Hello,

A bit of advise, suggest to rephrase your question. Seems like you're writing to AI ChatGPT or some sort, this style of writing may prevent some (experienced) real people to reply.
Also kindly read the policies of the forum,
seems like you haven't done due diligence prior asking the questions:
things like...Why Alloy 825 was selected in the first occasion? What do you think about Stellite 6 vs Allot 825.

Most of globe valves with base material Alloy 825 in my refinery are indeed hard faced with Stellite 6. Disc of globe valve in theory (compared to other type) are subject to see higher velocity, etc. which correspond to more abrasive resistance coating. The base material is only for (special) corrosion resistance.
another example for instance ball valve with soft seat, no need to be Stellited.

Regards,
D
