steel / welds / mastic tape / holiday testing ??

Can anyone give me a heads up on what kind of testing these guys might want? I have limited information right now but from what I understand they using some type of mastic tape to wrap around or over welds.

Client mentioned holiday testing. I'm familiar with holiday testing pipe lines coated with two-part paint/epoxy but not tape.

Any ideas?

I think there are AWWA standards for tape coating for pipelines, refer to those standards if the line is AWWA pipe. I think the holiday testing is done with a higher voltage than epoxy coatings.
