I am looking for examples of steel pole design. I am designing steel poles to mount fm antennas to that will be mounted on top of towers. My problem is I cannot find any examples anywhere on how to design steel poles. I am not sure if you just should check for failure due to bending. If anyone knows of any examples on this subject I would appreciate any help.

thank you

buns1...assuming you can create a moment connection, you would design the pole for bending. Most poles mounted on top of towers to hold antennae achieve a moment connection by lapping the pole down a tower leg and using "U" brackets or similar. The fastener design is then based on the couple from the moment created at the lap connection.
