Hi,

If for example, a steel plate of 1.5mm is bent 30 degrees with an internal radius of 2mm, when we flatten it again, it's lenght will increase, how much? How to calculate this?

Thanks,

Rjl

Normally rule of thumb is about 1/5 of thickness for 90 deg. In your case 0.3mm. nut since you bed less, you can cut this in half. How about you try o a scrap piece of metal? That would be the best method

there are some formulas on the net you can find that mimics elongatioin very well. I'll try to locate those I used in the past.

How about you try o a scrap piece of metal? That would be the best method by far
