Hi guys,

Please help me
how to design or check steel pipe pile?
please teach me step by step
what data need to be used?

There are a lot of formula to calculate the bearing capacity such as Meyerhof, Luciano Decourt, Van Der Ween, etc.
Are those formulas applied to both concrete pile and steel pile?
If I use different steel strength of pipe pile, where will it be affected?

when should we consider the friction capacity and or end bearing capacity?

Please your kindly advice and explanation.
Thanks a lot.

Best Regards
Yusak

If you are a structural engineer, you should know that the bearing values for steel pipe pile are normally established by a Geotech and set in writing in a Geotech report.

There are many text books available for learning pile design. Any of these books would be better than the short guidance available in an internet forum.
