Hi,

Do anyone know where to find a steel deck catalog from year 1980's? I am trying to check deck capacities for a building that was constructed during that time of year. Is it safe to assume same capacities from the recent manuals?

Thanks

I’d be cautious - 1980’s was still a lot of A36 steel. Just about everything now is grade 50.

Roof decks are 33ksi now and I assume thats what it was in 1980's as well.

Don't assume that. I found this on SRE's website. It references ASTM A446-76, Grade A. When that standard was withdrawn in the mid-90's it was 33ksi, but it could have been adjusted over the course of 20 years. You should track down the standard contemporary to your structure and see what it says. Or have a series of coupons tested.

Do you know the manufacturer?
I have the following:
Wheeling Roof Deck - 1982
Wheeling Tensiulform/Tensilvent Deck - 1982
Wheeling Composite Deck - 1982
Roll Form Cmoposite and Roof Decks - 1984
Vulcraft Floor and Roof Deck - 1980
Vulcraft Floor and Roof Deck - 1986
SDI Design Manual for Composite Decks, Form Decks and Roof Decks - 1984
Loadmaster Roof Deck Systems - 1984

JAE,

Could you please share?

Vulcraft Floor and Roof Deck - 1980 and 1986
SDI manual - 1984
Loadmaster Roof Deck System - 1984

Thanks

There's a lot of pages there - is there a particular deck type you are looking for?
(Saves time scanning all those pages)
