Is it possible that the steel column section on the upper floor is bigger than the steel column section on the lower floor? The building is irregular in shape, 7-storey with two cellars/basement, perimeter of the cellar is a concrete wall and columns, and other structures are steel columns and beams, with auto-select steel design, I encountered this, steel columns on 2nd floor is much bigger than the steel columns on the lower floors. And also, is there a way to incorporate CMU wall system in analysis using ETABS, could someone help me in this matter, thanks so much!

It could be because there is no column above to distribute the moment.

Thanks for your immediate reply, but then the column I mentioned has columns in its upper floors.
