Has anyone had any experience with transferring a compressive force through the baseplate interface with a neoprene pad underneath used as a vibration reduction measure? The situation is a heat exchanger to be supported by an existing slab-on-grade and the mechanical engineer wants to reduce the vibrations. One way could be to use leveling nuts, but does that void neoprene pad performance?

There are documents by pad manufacturers that produce both neoprene and reinforced elastomeric pads that detail how the pad is designed (thickness, durometer, reinforcement layers, etc.).
