Static Pile Testing Instrumentation

I am installing a Tell Tale Rod Extensometer into a small diameter pile to conduct some static compression tests.

Installation of the sensor support head at the top of the pile is going to be unconventional due to the lack of space left after the jack is mounted. The total pile OD is 550mm, the compression jack being used is 430mm. Steel reinforcing cage is 400mm.

Has anyone solved a similar problem in the past? Any input will be valuable.

Not exactly sure of your question, but you might just need some linkage hardware. Magnetic bases with 2 or 3 swivels. See photo below.
The telltale is on the left side. If you are in the US, you can get all this specialty hardware at Mcmaster-Carr.
