Do you know of any states that have pressure relief regulations that are more restrictive than ASME Sec VIII?
I'm aware that California code explicitly requires the use of a relief valve or rupture disk, and excludes the use of HIPS or UG-140 (protection by system design). That's due to California not updating their state requirements to stay in alignment with ASME.
I don't know of any other states in which the requirements are more restrictive than ASME code. Do you know of any?
Thanks.
