Hi, I would like to know how to place the first object of an assembly at the origin, for example a cilindric shape, so when I use the cut view it automatically shows half the piece.

Also it would be helpfull to know how to move to the origin an assembly that started off axis.

Thanks in advance!

Recommended for you

1) After selecting a part to insert into an assy, just click the tick. The part will automatically be positioned at the origin.

2) You cannot move the origin in an existing assy. you will have to Float (unmate) the parts and reposition them.

[cheers]

Thanks for the fast reply!!!

You can also click the origin in the tree.
