STANDARDS FOR GROOVED CONNECTIONS?

Dear all,

I am in search of specifications & standards for butterfly valves used in fire hydrants.The connections are grooved for this valve.Is it AWWA C110? Is AWWA C110 only for ductile iron fittings and for gate valves only? I shall be gratefull for any response.

Here I would also like to mention that this forum has been very educational and I was able to get most answers to my queries from the members involved with this excellent web site.My thanks to everyone!
