Hello,

I'm a stress analysis engineer-in-training in the oil & gas industry, and have been considering a potential switch to aeronautics, possibly following a master's degree. My question is this: What standards and specifications would it be most productive for me to familiarize myself with if I wanted to pursue a career in propulsion engineering? Also, what Canadian universities are most highly regarded within the aeronautics industry?

Thanks

Regarding Canadian Universities - you might want to ask local aerospace companies (ie. Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney, etc) what they would recommend. I liked in order Ryerson University, Carlton University and University of Toronto. I know that Ryerson introduced in their Aerospace program, regulations for certification of aircraft - but this was only an introductory level, I do not think it is in the scope of academia to go into detail of these regs - you learn that on the job.
