Does anyone have experience with the relative machinabilities of these stainless steel casing alloys, compared to CF-8?
CC-50
CD-4MCu
CB7Cu1
Sea-Cure 29-4...,
2204
2205
20Cb-3

I have some source books but they are incomplete and contradictory. If anyone has first-hand experience with any of them, esp. CD-4MCu, I'd appreciate it!

Or, could you recommend a free(er)-machining cast stainless that is either ferritic or duplex (need low CTE)?

Many thanks,
