I'm working in a relatively corrosive atmosphere and I have used coated copper tubing with some success in these environements.

I would sure like to have an option to use SS tubing or piping and use SS refrigerant specialties.

Any ideas?

Manufacturers?

I have seen stainless refrigerant piping used in a couple of places. Not aware of any issues and generally would be a question of cost.

What about using SS instrument tubing?

Does anyone have recommendations on specs to use?

I'll just say this: I've checked ASHRAE for recommendations, I've checked my Piping Handbook for recommendations and... nothing...

I know I can "create" something, but I'd sure like to design something that won't confuse or scare someone who actually knows how to pipe refrigerant in SS.

Also, SS specialties? Google & Yahoo --- nothing! This can't be that unusual!

I'd go with SS hydraulic tubing.

I can't recall ever seeing refrigeration valves in stainless.

I'm sure that Primor or one of the other service valve makers would do it for you for the right price.
