Stainless for HCl Containment 1

What is the best stainless steel to use for containing small amounts of Hydrochloric Acid; this is part of a filling process and any drips should be cleaned up in a short period of time (assuming the driver does this). The HCl is roughly a 35% solution.

Coatings will work, but will required maintenance and if you have a holiday in the original coating you will get corrosion. Another common choice is glass lined carbon steel for storage.

it depends also on the temperature..maybe not a stainless steel but a nickel alloy.. 625 or 825 or B2.. will do the job..

I took "driver" and "spills" to imply ambient temperature- probably a drip tray or the like.

Whenever you can choose corrosion immunity over corrosion resistance, you should. Homopolymers, FRP and coated steel are all possibilities.
