Hi all,

I have a comment asking"Routing calcs should be based on orifice peak flow rates and not existing conditions runoff hydrograph. Create stage discharge curve for basins and route development hydrograph against that."

I have some understanding about hydrology and hydraulics, we have the basins stage-volume chart, and we calculated the orifice discharges. Can someone explain to me the routing procedure and difference between runoff hydrograph and development hydrograph?

We can make an informed guess, but the best solution is to ask the person making the comments for clarification.

Sounds like jibber jabber. Terms are all mixed up. Ask for detailed clarification.

Thank you all,

I just talked to the commenter, and what he wants is the stage discharge rate curve for 10" restrictor inside 30" outfall pipe, and maximum water surface elevations for the detention and drainage system.
I will try using HEC-HMS to model the system, and Chapter 17 looks like a good guide to follow, any other advice?
