Hello friends
I have a question about the inside lining material of our gas turbine stack. The GT supplier has instructed us to use stainless steel grade 409. But unfortunately I've not found this grade in our market. Grade 321, which is a suitable replace, is an expensive one. I want to use grade 430, which has half price of 321 in our market. Is it technically a suitable substitution? Please note that the flue gas temperature is 600ºC, the lining consists of 1m by 1m segments sliding over each other and no welding is applied on stainless steel plates.
Thanks for your kink helps.

If you can't obtain 409 use 439 stainless steel, which is a stabilized grade of ferritic stainless steel, for the GT duct.

Thank you Metenger for your comment. But what is your opinion about 430, which is available in our market?

At your stated exhaust gas temperature, I don't believe you will get the service life you need from 430, because it will suffer from high temperature oxidation. Go with the stablized grade.
