I just read through their announcement of the latest version and didn't see it mentioned. Regarding your P.S., I'm finding Bentley less and less responsive. Earlier this week I found a bug and called them. The guy told me he would call me back in a few hours. He never did. This is the kind of behavior I've come to expect from them so it didn't surprise me at all. I'm about ready to ditch STAAD and find some real software with real support.

If you're unhappy with the response time the Bentley guys give you, and you are looking to switch then you might consider RISA.... Depending, of course, on what you are primarily using STAAD for.

RISA still focuses a bit on the North American market. But, IMHO it is a lot easier to use and understand than GTStrudl and SCIA. Plus, we've added a number of foreign codes (including the EuroCode) in recent years. Therefore, you're serious about dumping STAAD you might want to check out the free Demo version of RISA-3D.

Are you comparing STAAD Pro 20.07.09.31 with 20.07.09.05 or maybe something even older? I ask because there have been some published changes related to Eurocode design and several of the national annex in recent history if not in the last update.

Any particular improvements you are looking for?
@ rottweiler / dozer if you have a service ticket number to reference I can chase down the analysts that let you down and see what happened. Plenty of cases have a simple explanation like email junk filters.

guys,i have worked staad pro two years ago working in an office.now i am looking to the market to buy a software, so my first choice was staad because i am familiar with it (advantages and disadvantages),there are 2 important disadvantages 1) it seems that staad does not have the minimum reinforcement that EC8 requires ,2) what about ram connections, i mean did they introduce European sections? so i am still waiting for an answer from Bentley. I got demo from 3dr.strad, and next week i am getting a demo from gt-strudl,i will check risa also. i will pay a lot of money buying a software, so i need to know that the software serve my needs and covers as much as possible the eurocodes.

Ever since am using Staad, I've faced lots of problmes; but whenever I contacted them via email, service ticket and alike I received an immediate response and proper action been taken. Perhaps Im pretty lukcy or we got a responsible customer service for west of Asia
