staad geometry

hello i m using staad 21 i want to know how
graphical input can be done from AUTO CAD file.
some one told me that directly we can transfer AUTO CAD
file to staad . i know @ DXF IN& out.but it is not workin gin my case.
IS anyone will guide me @ this.

STAAD 21???? I'm unfamiliar with that version...

With STAAD 2000 and greater goto the FILE menu, select IMPORT, then DXF... Imagineer
