Is there a way to stop the bottom window of assembly pathfinder 'auto-hiding'.
This is the window that shows relationships when you click on a part.
I'm finding it really annoying that I click on a part near the bottom of pathfinder and the relationships window appears over the top of the part I've selected.
I then have to scroll the pathfinder window to see it again.

I too agree, that this would be an interesting find.

I use the "scroll to part" command often, right click on the part in the assy view, and select "scroll to part."

Not a cure for the ill, but a bit easier than scrolling.
Does not work so well with small parts in assemblies though.

I have just added a screw and 2 washers that needed patterning.
As they are last in the assembly pathfinder they immediately get covered up when I select the first of them to pattern.
I then have to scroll to get the second one and the list position changes yet again - really infuriating, why is it even necessary?
This really is an instance of fixing something that wasn't broken.

I know I can select things in the graphics window but often I use the pathfinder especially for smaller parts.

Hello,

I submitted an request to Solid Edge regarding this issue. The next maintenance pack (MP6) should solve this problem.

Thanks Kyle,
Do you know if MP6 will also solve the Replace Part bug?

I'm not sure. It looks like the problem is still there in some form with MP5.

Kyle

Thanks Kyle,
If they think about updating to MP5 here I'll tell them to hang on for a while.

We don't use mapped drives for our Solid Edge files but I did do a quick test with MP5 and the replace command seems to be working fine.

We use mapped drives here so it will need to be tested first.
