Hi everyone,
Is it true that for SS316 cladded vessel, it could withstand higher/ more severe conditions (chloride, temp, etc) than solid SS316L vessel?
SCC generally requires tensile stress, appropriate corrosive species and material susceptible to SCC (this case austenitic). DOes cladding removed the tensile stress and always in compression mode hence the chance of SCC is low to none?
Thanks a lot.
