Try this site for information about the parts of a gear and formulas for creating them. http://www.engineersedge.com/gear_menu.shtml Once you've looked at that you can either attempt to draw your own or there is a gear already drawn that you can download and modify here. http://www.cbliss.com/inventor/Parts.htm I make no garauntees as to the accuracy of charles's model but it should work.
