Hi,

I'm facing a project in a factory where there are two different ceiling heights in the same opened space.

One part of the ceiling is at 21 feet while the other part is at 38 feet.

The part with 38 feet ceiling is used for a test bench that validates safety harnesses.

I believe there are some specific criteria for higher ceiling like this and I can't find them in NFPA 13.

Can anybody refer me to the right place in NFPA 13 where I could find criteria's for such a high ceiling?

Thanks in advance for your help!

There aren't any criteria in relation to height. The only one thing related to height is the deduction of the design area through the use of quick response sprinklers but obviously this is not what you 're looking for. You may want to refer to FMDS 2-0 but be wary when applying criteria from various codes.

Please refer FMDS 3-26 for non storage high ceiling sprinkler protection. I believe this is what you are looking for.

You re correct. 3-26 that is. Mixed the FM sheets.
