Our computer room ceiling height from the raised floor is 95". Our data cabinets range from 82 to 84". We have moved sprinkler heads away from being directly overhead of the cabinets.

Is it OK to have cabinets that high as long as we stay away from a sprinkler head by 18" on a slanted measurment or does the code specify 18" down from the ceiling, nothing shall encrouch on that space?

Thanks

Check NFPA 13 Obstructions as it appears that your cabinets have become obstructions for prpoper coverage. Moving the heads and ruducing spacing may take care of the problem. 6' min distance from each other. The measurement is always level in sprinkler systems, the only thing on a real slant is for dry pipe sprinkler for drainage. Get you self access to a copy of the NFPA sprinkler handbook and solve your problem.
