Spring Sizing

Sorry if this is in the wrong place... I've been browsing this forum for a long time and finally made an account...

Does anyone have any idea as to the size of the springs (load, rate, anything else) that are used in spring return toggle switches or momentary-on switches? I am designing a custom rocker switch for controlling fluid flow, and need to know what a reasonable spring size is for initiating the spring return to the off position.

Any help is appreciated!

Spring size is a function of the load (force or torque) it has to overcome or apply. You first need to define the force or torque you need including the number of life cycles. Based on this data a spring can be designed or may be found off the shelf if the space limit allow it.
