Is there any "general" rule of thumb for estimating the load increase by adding two springs (.490" thk. and .360" thk.) to a 1999 Ford SD F-350 4X4 rear axle?

I told a customer his truck was under-rated at the 11,200 GVWR by almost 2,500 lbs, and he needed to reduce the load for that vehicle. He took it to a local spring shop and the guy told him the springs he added increases the GVWR by at least 2,000 lbs. But of course, he didn't put any new stickers in the door jamb!

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the reply. The truck isn't available to me at the moment, but I have the following part numbers from Tampa Spring:

300R499-72N
300R360-72N

Mean anything?
