We are currently spotwelding two galvanneal 2mm thick sheetmetal brackets. We are experienceing bad welds. The customer is recieving product that looks ok but the brackets are falling apart. In addition the spot welding tips have to be dressed after every 25 welds and the they are also mushrooming. What kind of settings should we use? What kind of weld tip material should we use to eliminate the mushrooming and the dressing? Should we be use spotwelding for this material or should we use a different method such as toggle locking?
