I'm planing to carry out spool galvanising prior to hydro test.

However, Client request us to carry out spool galvanising atfer hydro test.

as of now, i can't find any requriement for spool galvanising atfer hydro test in ASME and ASTM, API, Shell DEP(Project Spec). (Shop Full painitng is approved from client. However, client explain to me galvanising is not painting.)

Could you advised to me about abovementioend it

Can't see any good reason to do it before or after so if the client wants it that way then fine.

In 31.3 you can prime and paint joints before HT. whether galvanising is regarded as "paint" or a "coating" may influence your decisions.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Is hydrogen embrittlement a possibility? In that case the hydro test should be done after galvanizing.
