I try and calculate fault current on a system coonsisting for example a generator and line and I have basic parameters. For the generator I thought the subtransient reactance would be enough but alas! When I try now to use a Power system analysis package, it asks me for all kind of things, Xd, Xd', Xd", X2, X0, and I have no idea which of these values are being used to determine the result which I now see on the screen. Worse, I cannot seen the input data which would give me textbook results and these screen results are far out. Help!

They are all being used. Double check your power system analysis text book and review the chapter on generators.
