Hi All
I'm a new member on this forum and really hope to get some tips and of course share my knowledge and experience.
I just want to know how can i split digital signal to terminate in two different locations.(i need two outputs from 1 digital input).

Many thanks for your advice

There's no such thing as a 'standard' digital output or a 'standard' digital input, except within particular families of digital logic. So it's not possible to answer your question in such a way that you can't get into trouble by blindly following advice from a stranger on the Internet, since you haven't provided even the faintest clue about what sort of devices you're trying to connect, or the signal levels, or the required bandwidth.

I think there are standard digital signals. Lots of them. And that may be the problem.

As long as you don't need isolation, just use buffers made for the digital family that produced the original signal; TTL for TTL, CMOS for CMOS and, yes, a relay for contact closure.

Then, there are optoisolators, transformers, isolation amplifiers... How can we know what signal type you are dealing with? If frequency is high, you need to think about rise-time, reflection and ground bounce. If FCC is involved, you need to worry about EMI/EMC issues.

Mike is right - there's no answer to your question. You have to ask a more specific one. And once you do so, you will read the answer from your question.

Half full - Half empty? I don't mind. It's what in it that counts.
